Founding a Contest Club - Why, and what should be the result ?
|
Our Idea with Copenhagen Contest Club has many angels. Here just a few.
But remember that our basic here is that Contest is a Sport - and that sport is all about having fun, but also about winning!
To create a forum or place where Radio Amateurs can participate in Contests. Many in the Greater Copenhagen Area have no possibility to set up a station that would give the full pleasure of Contesting.
To Create a place where Radio Amateurs who would like to try Contesting, but would like someone to have a Contest Expirienced colleague around for help and advice.
And in the end: To create a Contest Station and a Team that can make one OZ-callsign figure among the top Contest scores World Wide.
If you live in the Greater Copenhagen Area (Stor København / Hovedstads området) You can join up with us. You do not need to be a member of OZ7AMG. Only a little contribution for the use of the facilities and the Station will be required and requisted of you! .. we need to eat and drink being in a Contest! Coffee, Coca Cola, Pizza's etc...
After all - nothing is for free anymore ...
What now? What Later? When we have established a bit better, we will take contact to the local EDR Clubs in the Copenhagen Area, and see if we can get a "Joint-Strike-Force" put together!
Who knows - maybee with a completly different callsign? Is OZ1CPH or OZ0CPH free ? Or something better ??
